Short Biography

Bri Garcia is a visual artist from Evansville, IN. She combines mixed media in such a way that no two pieces are quite the same. She has been creating for 14 years and is currently attending the Milan Art Institute to further her skills and career as an artist. She works with many different mediums ranging from oils and acrylics to collage work and combining elements of 2D and 3D work. To challenge herself, she also works with monochromatic mediums such as charcoal and graphite. She often likes going out of her comfort zone and works with many different mediums and techniques. She chooses to add a combination of playfulness and seriousness to her work reminding the viewer that art is a playground to explore. However, she will not shy away from serious topics that she feels need to be addressed and expresses those in her work. Her art takes many twists and turns as she feels there are many facets to who we are, and we should explore and express each side. Through her work, she wishes to connect with the viewer to inspire and awaken the creativity within.
