Nick Kozan

Upcycled Art

My name is Nick Kozan II, and I was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana. Growing up I was always into art and started drawing around 4-5 years old. That carried on throughout my life, and I have been drawing with pencil and paper for decades now. Back in February of 2020, I was introduced to painting by seeing one of Bob Ross’ videos on YouTube. I decided one day I would follow along and see how I did at painting, and I was pleasantly surprised at how I did! I purchased a bunch of oil and acrylic paints and canvases and started getting into painting in addition to drawing. In addition to landscape paintings, I now love reviving old thrift store art and making them relevant in today’s world. In addition to art, I serve in the Armed Forces and plan to make it a career.
